“I don’t feel like I am the odd one out”

I’m from New York and and I never really felt like I belonged in New York. I kind of grew up there and I kind of felt like I was a little bit different from everybody else. About four years ago my dad moved here, I came here for the first time on vacation and I totally sell in love with. I kept on coming here. I wanted to move here so badly. A little over a year ago I came here on what was supposed to be a vacation and I just kept on extending my trip one week at a time and I ended up staying. And it was probably one of the best decisions I ever made, I love it here. Everybody is so different, unique and interesting and I definitely feel like I belong here more than I did in New York.

I just feel more opened about myself. I feel more confident. I don’t feel like I am the odd one out because everybody here is so different. I know New York City is like that but I grew up in more of a suburbia area of New York. Everyone there was, I guess you could call them basic. I am inspired to just do more and embrace who I am and also try and get out there and do more things in film.

When I was little I had a little tiger and I had it when I was three. That’s when my mom gave it to me and I just destroyed that thing. I don’t even know where it is now. I left it in New York somewhere, my mom may have thrown it out. I remember it was always on me till I was 13. It was my little buddy, I just liked it because I felt safe with it.
