“It’s easier to be weird and an outcast than to pretend to be someone you’re not”
I guess I’ve always been that weird little kid. I used to wear the hot topic clothes and all the spikes and everyone thought I was a boy in middle school. I used to get teased and I just kind of use that aggression towards me for my artistic abilities. I want to be in animation. I just use being weird and weird experiences. People can be mean when they don’t understand something. And they can be hateful for no reason because they don’t understand themselves. It’s easier to be weird and an outcast than to pretend to be someone you’re not.
It’s given me a new perspective on things, just why people don’t like certain things or why they won’t accept or even consider a certain lifestyle or choice because they don’t understand. It gives me an open mind to things that I don’t understand.
I used to collect Beanie Babies of course, but I have one specific, A Ghetto Barney. He’s purple and pink and has a big Pac-Man mouth. He was my favor. And I had a Pocahontas blanket that I had with me until late middle school. It made me aware that there were a lot of choices out there, variables. There can be about 10 different Beanie Babies that are bears but they all are different. Not one is a like.
