“Everything worked out for everyone.”

I am the only gay sibling. I was afraid to tell them but when they found out I thought they were going to judge me or whenever but they were actually very open to it. They actually said they knew since I was a little kid, so they said “you weren’t surprising anybody we just were waiting for you to be comfortable to tell us”. I was very surprised by that.

It inspired my friends to tell their family too because once my family found out, my friends would come around my family. I guess for the family love because they were not allowed to be themselves around their family. So when they found out about me it was back to back, my friends told their families. Everything worked out for everyone. Me and my best friend, his family and my family are actually really close now. They hang out and we do a lot of stuff together.
I was so shocked that my family was so accepting.

When I was little I had this little sunflower pillow. That should’ve gave it away then. I took it everywhere. I don’t have it anymore
It made me comfortable. My grandmother gave it to me. I would sleep with her all the time, she sometimes got mad at me when I slept with her because I would put my knees on her back she would make me go to my own room. I would always take the pillow and I was able to sleep. If I wasn’t with her I had to have my pillow.
