I have a different way of seeing

I have a different way of seeing. I was born and raised in France but my parents are from Africa and the Caribbean island. Celebrate diversity. She is holding Wilson the bear named after Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. This Perfect Reject is made by Nina R Salerno. My toys and the stories that I am collecting from people is about the celebration around adversity and difference, which is the source of beauty. The beauty is the fact that everyone has struggled and everyone has the capacity to survive. It is an opportunity to share and be part of something, that we are all the same, perfectly imperfect. This celebration is a testament to the human Spirit.
“I have a different way of seeing”

I was born and raised in France but my parents are from Africa and the Caribbean island which has a lot of tension between the two communities because of slaver and history. I was brought up by my mom side with Caribbean culture and also by my dad side with African culture but I also have French and European background which makes me different and more diverse then anyone else. In my family it was not tense I was raised that I have all these cultures and you should take all of them and not choose one side or the other.

I applied for film school and was accepted because of the historic background and my family. I have a different way of seeing things and approaching things. That’s how I got into the school.

I have three different stuffed bears which are three different colors. They belong to my twin brother and me.  My bear’s name is Totham. When I feel lonely, when I miss my family, I hug my little bears and I feel better.
