“I suppose I’m a citizen of the world.”
Needless to say I’m not from the United States I’m from another country, from England and I’ve been here for 32 years. But I still find myself driving on the freeway looking at the signs and going, “oh, I’m in America”. I was thinking about this just the other day. I was wondering if I would ever really feel completely comfortable in this part of the world, even though I have spent most of my life here. I think a lot of it has to do with being here at Christmas, you know, because Christmas you start to get homesick and you think about when you were a kid, stuff like that.
I wonder if I could just go back to England and completely fit in or if I would be an outsider there now too. I’d find maybe I’ve taken myself out of everything by doing what I did.
I suppose I’m a citizen of the world.
When I was little I didn’t have any stuffed toys. I was into G.I. Joe’s, they are called Action Men in England. And I had a lot of them too.
