“I was different than the other kids. I was born an old lady.”
“I have always been an artist whether I made a living at it or not. I didn’t have friends until I was in high school because I was different than the other kids. I was born an old lady basically. I marched to my own beat, my own drum. I’m covered in tattoos, before it was hip. It was what made me feel normal. If I knew what I know now I would not have worried so much that I was different and just been myself. I don’t care anymore, I accept who I am. I do what I want to do. I do my art because I like it and know that someone else will like it too. My entire life I used to be afraid to put my art out there. Doing my artwork has inspired me.
I still have my very first stuffed animal. She doesn’t have a name. Her Arms and legs are falling off. She is pretty awesome. I also have a stuffed Garfield doll. I love them, they still make me feel like a kid. They are like little friends.”
