“I’m actually helping a lot of people out, guiding them.”
When I was 14 years old I wanted to start modeling and I was rejected because I was not 5’7″. I started out as 5’5″. I know I was still young but they were like “you should have ground taller by now”, and I was devastated.
And I said well modeling might not be my thing right now. I’m a little taller, I’m not as tall, I’m not 5’9″, 5’10” but I am 5’8″. I’m getting really really good, a lot of people are coming to me and wanting me to model for them so it has been really good for me. And I began a portfolio building business called Exchange Artistry. It is on Instagram and Facebook and Twitter and it is to help everyone build their portfolios, build confidence, get your brand out there, just to get yourself out there so you can be whatever you want to be and do what you want to do. I’m actually helping a lot of people out, guiding them, which I didn’t have.
I always said I never had a Build-A-Bear before, as a kid, and one year, we were in college, my freshman year and my friend surprised me with one. I still have it. I still have the certificate for it and everything. It’s like my favorite ever. It’s called Jaden. It’s like a human, I was able to put a heart in it. It was able to beat, it is something that connected with me because I never had it before. It is cuddly and warm. It is something you can go to and sit down and watch TV with. Even though you’re not a kid it is something you can pick up like a pillow and cuddle with.
