“It taught me to trust my gut instincts”
At school a teacher told me and my mom that I was too independent and it hindered my studies and that it made me difficult to teach. My mom basically said don’t listen to her that is a positive characteristic that is something you should always stick with.
It taught me to trust my gut instincts and decisions and not to pay attention to the opinions of others in my career and in the personal decisions that I make.
When I was little I had a great big stuffed Husky called Husky and he traveled all over the world with me and he was SO scruffy. He was falling apart, he was so ugly. He’d been stuffed into so many suitcases. He was comforting to me.
