If I stay who I am then I find people that like me for who I am

“If I stay who I am then I find people that like me for who I am”

Whenever I moved from Las Vegas to Missouri it was a giant change, just culturally. All the people that I met were just way different. I came from a Catholic school and went straight to a public school. It turned from being city to rural and I just didn’t fit in at all. I didn’t find any friends until two or three years later but I kind of just went with it. I kind of embraced me being different and found people that, this is going to sound cliché, but melded with me, I guess, and made the best friends with.

This showed me that I really don’t need to change for anybody. I can just stay the same. If I stay who I am then I find people that like me for who I am. As cliché is may sound it works out.

I used to have a little dog that I used to carry around with me all the time from kindergarten, first grade, and I still have it up on my shelf right now. It kept me comforted it was my best friend.
