“To be rejected means you have to give a shit.”
I spent a long time working with a start up and I moved to Israel and went around the world to help build it and it just didn’t make it it. It failed. It felt like the world rejected that business which was pretty difficult but I learned so much. I had invested so much of myself into that business. I felt it was a reflection of me, it caused me to come to the realization that we don’t work to play by other people’s rules, we really work to play by our rules.
You really have to be honest with yourself and work on the things that you believe are truly meaningful. It is worthwhile to care. To be rejected means you have to give a shit. You should feel confident with your choices, do them for the right reason. Life is about becoming comfortable with what you can’t predict.
When I was little I was more into my blanket. It had a lot of sentimental value for me. It was the blanket my parents brought me home in. It was a sense of comfort, trust, predictability, strength and stability.
