“Thinking about my Tyrannosaurus Rex and family warms my heart.”
I come from the Navajo reservation where in some instances is closer to Third World poverty. I see struggle on a daily basis. I came out here to work with Children International where people do live in Third World countries, and to help my mother back home who still lives on the reservation.
When I go back home to the reservation, I see that things have not gotten better. At least the people I have helped has done something. Seeing this warms my heart.
I only had one stuffed animal and still only have one. It was giving to me by my grandmother’s sister Elisabeth. It is a stuffed Tyrannosaurus Rex and is still at my mom’s house. I must have gotten it when I was six years old and I’m 26 now. It is on top of the cabinet. I got it around the time Jurassic Park came out and I was really in love with that movie and with dinosaurs. Thinking about it and my family warms my heart.
