“I want to be fearless like that one day”
Pretty much growing up I’ve always been the outcast. I was really a timid person growing up. I was really shy but when I got into cosplay, dressing up in costumes it kind of brought me out, to be more social and stuff. Even doing cosplay still makes me an outsider because not everyone does it. People look at me weird but it still gives me confidence and stuff when I wear it. The character is Black Cat from Marvel. She’s not in any of the movies but she is in the comic books. She Spiderman’s ex-girlfriend. I kind a like her because she’s kind of flirty and daring and stuff. It’s someone that I kind of aspire to be. She’s really fearless. I want to be fearless like that one day.
I feel cosplay shaped me into the person that I am. Without it, I probably would still be at home, kind of sad and not do anything with my life. Pretty much cosplay got me out of the house more, be more open and be more social in the community. Everyone is really welcoming and nice.
I still have this one teddy bear that I had in second grade. One of the yard duties, in my old elementary school, gave me it and I still have it. She gave it to me in 2002. I still sleep with it and everything. Kind of gives me relief. If I’m feeling lonely I”ll just hug it. If I want someone to talk to I just talk to it. It’s a stress reliever. It’s always there for me. It gives me good vibes. It brings back good memories. It’s name is Miss Judy.
