“You have to be yourself. You can’t lie to yourself.”
I never did fit in as a child. I was a little fat kid and I got hooked on exercise classes. I work out so I don’t get depressed. Very easy to fall into it, to become a drinker, a smoker, a user. I never did anything in my life.
I figured if I’m going to be an outcast I might as have as much fun as being one, and think nothing of what people say. If you worry about what they tell you or what they say you’ll never get where you want to go. You have to be yourself. You can’t lie to yourself. If you lie to yourself then you’re just letting yourself down. A lot of people have that doubting, second-guess, it’s not healthy to second-guess yourself.
If you already know what you enjoy, who you are, then run with it. Don’t even look back or even give people a second chance to get access to your joy. A lot of them are joy snatchers they like to steal your joy from you. I called them angry cheerleaders. They never got picked so they are mad all the time. They’re always pissed and always are on the sidelines waving their angry pom-poms at ya. They never got picked so that’s where they will always stay at.
I had a robotic dinosaur. I had a horrible childhood so I used to sic it on my stepfather. I would pretend it was chewing his head off. Very morbid. It scared some of my school teachers because they saw my journals and they couldn’t handle it. It was pretty messy. I used to use it as a distraction. I would pretend I was a scientist instead of focusing on all the bad stuff that was going on around me.
